SVR Power Ltd Hamilton / Waikato Construction / Trades Paid position(Know your rights) $26 - $28 per hour Qualified Fitter

FITTER REQUIRED/New Zealand/Full Time Excellent Rates

POSITION SUMMARY:
The positions main objective is to provide support to the Team Leader in regard to the maintenance of Major mechanical sites mainly in the Dairy and Pulp and Paper industry.

TYPICAL TYPE OF WORK TO BE CARRIED OUT:
– Fitting bearings and shafts to pumps and conveyors with correct alignment
– Fitting pumps and other rotating equipment
– Fitting valving, gaskets, flanges, gauges, thermowells and other piping equipment
– Hydro testing equipment
– Rigging and slinging equipment into difficult areas
– Assembly of large industrial plant like conveyors, elevators, ducting and platforms
– Running threaded pipe systems for fire suppression and compressed air.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
– To participate in onsite pre-start hazard review and post maintenance machine start up
– Carry out general fabrication and fitting duties
– Make sure all fitting is done in line with best practice
– Comply with appropriate company quality assurance procedures
– Ensure that all plant and equipment is suitably maintained, used and stored correctly in accordance with company procedures
