The Vosper family has been farming on Cleavedale farm for 5 generations. This 80-hectare farm with 40-hectare support block is located on the outskirts of the Matamata township and is the home of Jersey Girl Organic Milk. This 230-cow farm operates with split calving to ensure we can supply Jersey Girl Organics all year round.
We are looking for an experienced farm assistant to join the team
The successful candidate will –
• Report directly to the owner who will oversee the farming operation and assist as required
• Enjoy milking in a 20 bale rotary shed with ECRs
• Set up and clean up shed for milking, milk cows, set up break fences, feed out and perform general farm and machinery maintenance.
Organic production methods require commitment, and energy. There are no shortcuts – no artificial fertiliser. No production line fast tracking, no modifications. At times, their diet is supplemented with hay, silage and maize cut from our paddocks. Jersey Girl milk is audited to strict organic standards.
