dairy farm assistant needed 3-6 months

FRENZ Recruitment Rotorua / Bay of Plenty Farm work / Picking Accommodation + Pay(Know your rights) $18 an hour + 8% holiday pay Previous milking experience and motorbike experience. Tractor is a bonus

We are looking for one person to help out on our dairy farm who can commit to at LEAST 3 months, preferably 6 months.

You will be working with 680 milking cows and will milk through a herringbone shed, however you will also have to complete other general farm duties as needed. This includes, driving motorbikes around the farm, fixing and shifting fencing, checking on young stock and using your tractor skills. We are also willing to teach someone tractor if they can commit to 6 months of work.

You must have previous machine milking experience and feel comfortable on a motorbike. If you have tractor experience, this is also a bonus. Having a car is also preferred but we will look at applicants who are planning to get one soon. We also ask that you have a solid understanding of english as this is a health and safety issue and communication is one of the most important things on our farm.
