Baby Sitting for accomodationJane Raglan / Waikato Au pair / Nanny Accommodation Only(Know your rights) Working with Children is a plus.
Looking for the right person. I’m a single Muma living and working as a Surf Instructor in Raglan. As the summer months roll around I get busier so I need someone there to pick up the slack for me.
I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter (see the crazy surfer kid in the photo) who I will need to be picked up from her daycare at 5.30pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening – I often finish at 6pm so can’t make it in time, you would just need to get her home, fed and hang with her till I get home. As things get busier I will need someone to help me out on weekend days too.
This would work best if you have your own car – and of course a full clean drivers licence. Day care is walking distance away probably about a 1/2hr but if you’re able to bring her to the beach occasionally it would be better for all of us!
How I’ve worked it out: a furnished room in Raglan generally costs around $150 all inclusive. I can’t afford to just pay for another person to live here power is not cheap so can offer you around 6 hours babysitting per week @ $15 per hour. That takes care of your $100 rent for the room. I would need you to pay $50 per week for power, water, wifi etc. Which I think is very reasonable considering staying in the back packers is around $30 per night! If I do end up having to get you to baby sit in the weekends I will just pay you for it on top of what I have worked out above. This gives you plenty of time to find another job in town!
We are a smoke free home so please don’t bother if you smoke. I need someone that is willing to stay till the end of summer – I don’t want someone to build a relationship with my daughter and then leave and have to find someone else.
If you don’t surf already no doubt you will be by the end of summer, you’ll have the time of your life here in Raglan. I have surf boards and paddle boards you’re welcome to use, no doubt you will just become part of the family. You can contact me on 022 328 4192 – text is best as I’m in and out of the water and reception a lot. Best to meet in person so you can meet my girl, see how she responds to you. Looking for someone asap.
We’re looking forward to an amazing summer!
