Apple orchard apple thinning work

Kahui Farming Limited Makikihi / Canterbury Farm work / Picking Paid position(Know your rights) 19.12 (incl holiday pay) None

We are a small, family owned apple orchard located at Makikihi, South of Timaru.

We are after people to help with apple thinning, which is pulling small apples of the trees.

This work will start Monday 18th November and last for 3-4 weeks. There is also the opportunity of more work in March for apple picking.

Hours of work are usually Monday – Saturday, 7.30am – 5pm.

Unfortunately we do not have accommodation on-site, but there are several options close-by which we can help with.

Pay is $17.70 per hour (+8% holiday pay), which is paid weekly. You can then change to a pay-per-tree rate so you can make more if you work faster.

You will need:

Current work visa, IRD number and bank account
Be physically fit
Speak English
Have your own transport and accommodation (St Andrews, Waimate and Timaru are near-by)
Please give your name, age, nationality and any work experience.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, Ben Geaney.
