Piha Beachstay Accommodation

Explore Auckland from these alternative Hostels.

When searching for hostels in Auckland, you’re bound to see the same results of hostels smack bang in the city centre. (Hell, we’re even guilty of it ourselves in our list of 11 Best Backpacker Hostels in Auckland). But if you want to get away from crowded dorms and see Auckland in a different light, then we highly recommend checking out these hostels Auckland outside of the city centre!

Have you considered staying in one of the inner city suburbs of Auckland? These give you the best of both worlds in terms of city experiences yet away from the real hustle and bustle. Alternatively, see a completely different side of Auckland by staying on one of the off-shore islands or beach-side towns of the Auckland region. Auckland has a lot more to offer than Sky Towers and Queen Streets.
